The York Theater will return after an 18-month forced absence

The Joseph Rowntree Theater is back on stage after an 18-month forced hiatus.

From February 10-12, Joseph Rowntree Theater Company will celebrate the York premiere of Kipps: The New Half at Sixpence Musical.

The musical is set in Folkestone and is based on ‘Kipps’, the semi-autobiographical novel by HG Wells.

This will be the fourth large-scale production of the Joseph Rowntree Theater as they seek to build their “Raise the Roof” campaign.

Director Kayleigh Oliver said: “We are delighted to finally bring Kipps to the stage, after working on it for a few years, and we are very positive to be able to add to the coffers of ‘Raise the Roof’.”

Tickets will cost between £ 12 and £ 15 and you can find more information on ticket reservations here.
